Wood Shop Info

Lucas Zuniga is our Wood Shop Manager.  lzuniga@unm.edu Once his open hours are confirmed, I will add them up here -I will be having open hours in the wood shop starting the third week. I will post them at the end of the second week.  -Each student will be allotted two 1" x 2" x 8’ and two 1/4 rounds.  -We are also trying something new, not giving out lump sums of canvas but rather dispensing to their build. If they build at 2 x 4 ft canvas they will receive enough to stretch. The ultimate limit of canvas available to anyone student is 3 yards.  -We have gesso available for all students and can be accessed during open hours or to those of you with a wood shop key.  -Demos: every student that wants to use the woods shop or is required by you to make a stretcher must take a demo. If the student has already taken a demo in the past, they must at least do a review of safety in the shop with me and sign a piece paper to that effect. ...
